IT IS NEVER DARK IN THE BURBS
Through poignant observations of everyday scenes and their global impacts these works highlight, literally and metaphorically, the human experience of light energy and the increasing lack of darkness in our lives. It Is Never Dark In The Burbs explores the phenomena of light and energy consumption in the night and day of urban and global environments. This solo exhibition was held in the Marsden Gallery at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre in 2015.
These works are intended to be viewed in both lit and darkened spaces. The photo luminescent pigments glow in the darkness with an intensity that varies depending on the level of exposure to light. This intensity of luminescence fades over time as the works are viewed imbuing them with a transient energy
